Portable has thrown another shade at Afrobeats star Davido, asserting that fellow musician Burna Boy generously gave him N20 million without any hassle
During an Instagram Live session, the street-hop artist discussed themes of support and authenticity within the music scene.
I canceled $6,000 show in US to meet Davido – PortableHe expressed that although he has never met Burna Boy face-to-face, the Grammy-winning artist still reached out to help him, which he praised as a sincere act of generosity.
In contrast, Portable implied that Davido often presents himself as a supporter of emerging artists, yet fails to deliver genuine assistance.
He also criticized individuals who gain advantages from their wealthy backgrounds, asserting that true success comes from personal accomplishments and the ability to thrive independently without relying on familial wealth.
This recent comment adds to the ongoing friction between Portable and Davido. Their conflict began when Portable accused Davido of unfollowing him on social media following their encounter in the United States earlier this year. Since then, Portable has consistently directed veiled and overt critiques at the “Unavailable” hitmaker through his social media outbursts.
