It’s rare that a watch under $300 generates as much buzz as Noah and Timex’s releases. And it’s even more rare that those watches actually appreciate on the secondary market.
If you couldn’t get your hand (er, wrist) on one of the first Noah x Timex watches, you’re in luck: The duo just launched their fourth piece, the oval-shaped Noah x Timex: The Moon Phase Watch. It’s available for pre-order now on NoahNY.com for $228, but you’ll want to grab one very quickly. The previous Noah x Timex watches sold out very soon after launch, and are now only available on resale sites for a significant markup.
The new Noah x Timex watch features a small, 31 mm by 35 mm oval case. Between the nine and three o’clock markers is a handsome moon phase complication, and by the six o’clock marker is a date complication. The dial is set under a mineral glass lens, and inside is a quartz movement. Overall, the look is reminiscent of handsome vintage pieces from high-end French and Swiss brands.
The watch comes in two finishes, including stainless steel or gold-tone. The stainless steel option has a dark brown pebbled leather strap, and the gold-tone version features a black one.
Noah and Timex first teamed up last June for the gold-tone Tank-style Sun and Moon Watch, which was very similar to the new release but didn’t feature a date complication. That first watch was one of the hottest launches of the summer — we’re still seeing them going for around $500-$800 on eBay.
This past June, the two brands announced the Lighthouse Watch, a playful oval-shaped nod to the Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse. Pre-orders for the Lighthouse Watch sold out, and now they’re reselling for more than $500. The most recent Noah x Timex release was the Moon Watch, which came out in August. That one is also going for $500 or more on resale platforms.
