President Bola Tinubu met with the Sultan of Sokoto, Sultan Muhammad Sa’adu Abubakar, at the State House on Friday in a bid to strengthen ties with traditional and religious leaders
The meeting, confirmed by Tinubu’s Special Assistant on New Media, Dada Olusegun, is part of the president’s ongoing consultations with key figures across Nigeria’s religious and cultural landscape.

The encounter follows a recent meeting with the Archbishop of Abuja, Bishop Ignatius Ayau Kaigama, highlighting Tinubu’s focus on dialogue with both Islamic and Christian leaders.
Sharing the news on X, Olusegun wrote:

“As part of wide consultations with Religious and Traditional leaders, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Sultan Muhammad Sa’adu Abubakar at the State House today, just a few days after meeting Bishop Ignatius Ayau Kaigama, the Archbishop of Abuja.”
