Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Nigerian lawmaker Ned Nwoko, his actress wife Regina Daniels, and her brother Sammy Daniels, the politician has shared a new video that, according to him, shows Sammy storming his residence and harassing his household
Nwoko claimed that the footage, taken from his home’s security cameras, captures multiple incidents where Sammy arrived uninvited, caused disturbances, and intimidated both his children and domestic staff, especially when he was away.
In a lengthy statement accompanying the video, Nwoko detailed his version of events and outlined years of financial and emotional support he had extended to Regina’s family.
He said he sponsored Sammy through his last two years at the University of Ekpoma, purchased musical instruments for him to support his music career, and even rented and fully furnished an apartment for him in Abuja. According to him, before marrying Regina, he had already bought a house for her in Asaba, Delta State, for the use of the entire Daniels family.
He further claimed that since their marriage, he had regularly sent allowances to various members of the family, including Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels. Nwoko revealed that in the past two years alone, he transferred ₦125 million to Rita as part of the support he routinely provided to Regina’s relatives.
However, the situation reportedly took a darker turn when Regina began to exhibit concerning changes in her behavior. Nwoko said he observed signs of drug dependence, including her staying awake for up to 48 hours at a stretch and consuming food almost every two hours. Alarmed by these developments, he arranged for her to begin a rehabilitation program under the supervision of doctors and therapists.
According to Nwoko, medical professionals instructed that Regina’s contact with certain individuals — particularly those considered “enablers” — should be strictly limited to aid her recovery. He alleged that despite this, Sammy, his girlfriend identified as NK, and some of Regina’s close associates such as Destiny and actress Sonia Uche Montana consistently defied the doctors’ orders.
“They would come into the house uninvited, sometimes forcing their way in, bringing her the same drugs she was being treated for,” Nwoko stated. “Instead of helping her recover, they encouraged her addiction and completely frustrated the efforts of the doctors and therapists working with her.”
He also alleged that the group verbally abused and intimidated police officers assigned to his residence for security, especially when those officers tried to enforce the no-access rule.
Nwoko recounted one particular incident that, according to him, underscored the depth of the problem. He said that about four weeks ago, he woke up around 4 a.m. to find Regina in his bedroom, visibly under the influence, and talking on the phone. When he questioned her, she allegedly told him that Sammy’s girlfriend was in her room. Nwoko said he became furious because that woman was among those banned from entering his home.
He said he instructed one of his drivers to escort the girl out of the house. But just thirty minutes later, Sammy reportedly arrived at his home in a fit of rage, shouting and demanding that Nwoko come downstairs to confront him for sending his girlfriend away.
“Sammy was ranting, threatening, and waking up everyone, including the children,” Nwoko recounted. “I eventually went downstairs and had to instruct the security to physically push him out of my compound. The level of audacity was shocking. Without the influence of drugs, could he have been so bold and disrespectful?”
The politician said that Sammy and his group had made a habit of undermining authority at the residence, not only by defying house rules but also by verbally assaulting the police officers stationed there. He alleged that they would insult, threaten, and sometimes attempt to physically challenge the officers who were carrying out their duties.
Nwoko also painted a picture of escalating tension within the household, claiming that Regina’s behavior would turn hostile whenever she wanted to go out and he was not around. According to him, she would yell at security personnel, insult domestic staff, and threaten anyone who tried to stop her from leaving the house, even when such restrictions were meant to protect her during her recovery.
The politician emphasized that he neither smokes nor drinks alcohol and described himself as a vegetarian, expressing deep disappointment over the conduct of those around his wife. He characterized the actions of Sammy, his girlfriend, and their circle as “reprehensible and destructive,” accusing them of deliberately sabotaging Regina’s recovery and damaging the peace in his home.
Nwoko concluded by reaffirming that the videos he released serve as evidence of the harassment and disorder he has endured, insisting that his only concern is his wife’s safety and full rehabilitation.
