“The collaboration will deliver robust connectivity to remote schools, health centres, and communities, empowering millions with access to digital services and information,” Vodacom said in a statement.
Under the agreement, Vodacom will be authorised to resell Starlink’s hardware and services to enterprise and small business clients across Africa.

The company plans to integrate Starlink’s low-Earth orbit technology with its existing 4G, 5G, fibre, MPLS, microwave, and GEO satellite infrastructure to expand rural coverage and enhance network reliability.
“Starlink high-performance internet is a perfect addition to our bouquet of customer-centric offerings,” Vodacom added, highlighting innovative products such as pay-as-you-use backup internet and ‘100% unbreakable’ connectivity.
Still, Vodacom aims to leverage the collaboration to advance its Vision 2030 strategy, which targets 260 million mobile subscribers and 120 million financial services customers within five years.
“By harnessing Starlink as a complementary layer, Vodacom is edging closer to universal coverage and reaffirming its commitment to connecting people to a better future,” the company said.
