An unknown number of worshippers were reportedly abducted after bandits attacked the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) branch at Oke Isegun in Eruku, a border community with Kogi in Ekiti LGA, Kwara State
A video of the incident, captured during a live stream and seen by TheCable, shows worshippers in the middle of a service when gunshots erupted around the church. The congregation, led by a young pastor, fled in panic as the shooting intensified, while some of the bandits forced their way into the building.

Reports say more than five armed attackers ransacked the church, taking belongings from worshippers.
According to the Punch, three worshippers were killed, and the pastor along with an unknown number of members were abducted.
“The gunmen came into the church while people were gathered. They started shooting, and three people died immediately. They later rounded up some worshippers, including the pastor, and marched them into the bush,” a witness told the newspaper.
Community leader Benjamin Ayeoribe said Eruku has faced repeated bandit attacks over the past three weeks, with pleas for help from authorities going unanswered.
“We have begged the local and state governments for help, but nothing concrete has come. We are living in fear every day,” he said.
The attack comes less than 48 hours after bandits raided Government Girls Secondary School in Maga, Kebbi State, abducting 25 schoolgirls.
