Google has been rolling out new features to its apps and Messages is not left out. The company has added a new feature that allows users to pin more conversations to the top of their inbox for easy access.

Initially, Messages allowed users to pin only 3 chats. It eventually upgraded to 5 chats, then 10 chats. Google wants to double the capacity, allowing Android users to pin up to 20 conversations at once on the Google Messages app. The feature was first included in a beta version of the Google Messages app, but has made its way to the public version now.
The ten-chat limit for Google Messages pins was already sufficient for users, as the average number of conversations that can be viewed on an Android screen is between eight and ten. By expanding the limit to 20 conversations, users will have to scroll through the inbox view, up to two pages of pinned chats, before getting to their newest conversations. This will only happen if they pin all 20 chats.
