President Bola Tinubu has ordered a full security cordon over forests in Kwara State, extending the directive to Kebbi and Niger States following a surge in terrorist attacks and mass abductions
The order comes in response to increasing kidnappings, killings, and other violent activities in Kwara. Tinubu has instructed the Air Force to expand aerial surveillance over remote forest areas believed to harbor terrorists.

The President’s Special Adviser on Media and Communication, Sunday Dare, disclosed the directive in a statement on X, emphasizing continuous 24-hour surveillance and coordination with ground units.
“This order equally applies to the Kebbi and Niger states axis where many are expected to be rescued,” the statement read.
