Former Anambra governor and former Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has been taken into custody by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Abuja
The development was confirmed on Wednesday night through a statement issued by his former media aide, Fred Chukwulobe, who clarified that reports suggesting Ngige had been abducted were false.

According to Chukwulobe, “Former Governor of Anambra State and immediate past minister of labour and employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, is with the EFCC. More details later.”
Ngige has been in the spotlight in recent days after armed men targeted his convoy in Anambra. He was not in the vehicle when the incident occurred.
