Senators Adams Oshiomhole (APC, Edo North) and Ali Ndume (APC, Borno South) clashed in Abuja on Thursday over the ambassadorial nomination of former presidential aide Reno Omokri
The tension arose after a motion was presented on the floor recommending that Omokri and other nominees be asked to bow out.

Senator Ali Ndume argued that the motion needed to be seconded before any debate could take place.
Senator Oshiomhole, however, strongly opposed this, insisting he should be allowed to speak first. He emphasized that Omokri’s nomination could not be ignored, pointing to what he called “raging issues in the public domain.”
