“Three weddings within three months, like that’s insane,” Temi said. “Three destination events in such a short time.”

Mr Eazi added, “And we still had one more to go.” He explained that the original plan for their court wedding in Nigeria was meant to be simple and private, but it quickly became clear that privacy would be difficult to maintain.

An alternative suggestion from one of Mr Eazi’s friends was to host the civil ceremony at their residence, bringing the court officials to them. “I thought that was cool, but you were like no, you’re not having that,” he recalled.

Temi clarified she wasn’t strongly opposed to the idea, but was ultimately glad they went with her preferred location, Monaco. When asked why they didn’t hold the civil wedding in the UK, she explained, “Because it does not feel like a true link for me, like a real reason. Even Monaco is more sentimental.”

Reflecting on the experience, Mr Eazi admitted he was surprised by the complexity of the planning process. “I thought getting married was just deciding you want to get married, and then you go to the court and sign papers. Little did I know there was a mountain of administration involved,” he said.
