Content creator VeryDarkMan has revealed that music superstar Burna Boy gave him $100,000 (approximately N150 million) to free Prisoners and pay hospital bills
In a video shared online, Burna Boy was seen seated beside VeryDarkMan as the donation was announced.
VeryDarkMan explained that half of the funds, $50,000 (around N75 million), will be used to secure the release of people who have been imprisoned because they could not pay fines, which can range from N30,000 to N300,000. The remaining $50,000 will be allocated to clearing hospital bills for patients in government and public hospitals who cannot afford medical care.
He noted that the money is currently in his custody while proper documentation is prepared for the prisoners’ release. VeryDarkMan also plans to collect data on fined prisoners from all 36 states to ensure the funds are distributed fairly and that hospital payments reach those in genuine need.
Expressing his gratitude, VeryDarkMan said, “Thank you Burna Boy for this kind gesture. God bless you, and thank you for trusting me with this much money and believing that I will carry out this project.”
The announcement has generated widespread discussion online, with fans applauding Burna Boy for using his wealth to make a positive impact beyond the music industry.
