If there was a dominant music story this year, it was the ascendence of Latin and Spanish-language music. Latin Music will get the commemoration it deserves with a special Grammy Celebration on CBS. The two-hour special, titled A Grammy Celebration of Latin Music, airs on CBS on Dec. 28, starting at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Wilmer Valderrama and Roselyn Sánchez will cohost.
At a Glance: How to Watch A Grammy Celebration of Latin Music
Performers range from Latin music stars to country musicians, with Gloria Estefan, Luis Fonsi, Michael Bublé, and Maren Morris slated to perform. The special will also feature a performance from the Broadway cast of Buena Vista Social Club.
The special airs on CBS, and will be streaming on Paramount+ live for Premium subscribers and the next day for those on the Essential plan. Here’s how to stream the special live if you don’t have cable.
DirecTV
DirecTV, which is available as a streaming service, carries CBS on all of its standard plans. DirecTV has a five-day free trial. The Entertainment plan starts at $50 for the first month, while the regular price is $90/mo.
Paramount+
The Paramount+ Premium plan includes a live broadcast of A Grammy Celebration of Latin Music, in addition to live access to your local CBS affiliate. The Paramount+ Essential gets you next-day access to the special.
Fubo
Fubo has a free trial and includes CBS in its channel lineup. The sports-focused streaming service has several packages in its lineup. The Sports + News, Pro, and Elite packages all include CBS, plus other local channels like ABC and Fox. However, NBC Universal channels are not included in Fubo’s lineup.
In addition to performances, the special will feature special guests and interviews, including John Leguizamo, Daddy Yankee, Rita Moreno, and Carlos Santana.
The tribute special is one of only a handful of genre-specific Grammy specials the Recording Academy has hosted. Previous specials have included A Grammy Salute to Gospel Music in 2006 and A Grammy Salute to the Sounds of Change in 2021. The most recent was A Grammy Salute to 50 Years of Hip Hop, which aired in 2023.
As for the Latin Grammys, the latest awards show aired in November, with Bad Bunny winning Album of the Year and Best Urban Music Album among other awards.
