Samsung’s upcoming foldable, the Galaxy Z TriFold, which actually folds twice, is expected to launch very soon, as early as December 5. There are rumours of the foldable being very expensive, but a new rumour suggests the price might not be as high as we think.

According to a Korean blogger, yeux1122, on Naver, the Galaxy Z TriFold will start at about 3.6 million won (approximately $2,446) in its home market. It’s a significant reduction in pricing from the previously leaked 4 million won ($2,718) price tag.

There isn’t much to go on regarding the source of these pricing details. According to the blogger, it may have come from an internal sales channel announcement. Even if the rumour is true, the Galaxy Z TriFold would still cost way more than the already expensive Galaxy Z Fold 7, which sells at about $1,616 in Korea. Still, it’s easier for consumers to purchase than the previous cost, which was bordering on the $3,000 price tag.

Samsung’s new Galaxy foldable will come with a 10-inch dual-folding screen, a 6.5-inch cover display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and a 5,600mAh battery. Mirroring the Galaxy Z Fold 7, it is believed to have the same rear camera setup as it, with a 200MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide lens, and 10MP 3x telephoto camera.
