Not even $1bn can lure me into politics – Oyedepo

Even $1bn can't lure me into politics - Oyedepo

Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has ruled out any involvement in partisan politics, insisting that nothing — not even $1 billion — could lure him away from his divine assignment

He made the remark during the impartation service at Shiloh, the annual convocation of the church held at Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State. Oyedepo stressed that true relevance and impact come from remaining within one’s God-given purpose.

“Partisan politics is off my calling. If you give me $1 billion to join politics, I won’t, because it’s off my course,” he said.

Urging believers to stay aligned with their individual callings, the cleric cited Romans 8:19, noting that the world is desperate for solutions that can only come through people who are committed to their divine responsibilities.

“In 2015, I warned the church that trouble was coming. Didn’t trouble come?” he said. “The world is groaning in darkness, but the world is waiting for the manifestation of the children of God.”

Oyedepo added that God’s people would be instrumental in addressing national challenges, drawing parallels with biblical figures known for providing solutions in times of crisis.

“The army of God is about to emerge to proffer solutions to national crises in the order of Joseph and Daniel,” he said.

Shiloh commenced on Tuesday, December 9, and is expected to conclude on Sunday, December 14, featuring teachings, prayers and impartation sessions for participants.
