President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will tour three states this weekend, with planned stops in Borno, Bauchi and Lagos
The itinerary was confirmed on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who said the President will begin the trip in Borno State. There, Tinubu is expected to inaugurate several federal and state projects alongside Governor Babagana Zulum.
While in Maiduguri, the President will also attend the wedding of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor and Senator, Ali Modu Sheriff, who will be getting married to Hadiza Kam Salem.
From Borno, Tinubu will move on to Bauchi State to pay a condolence visit to the family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the respected Islamic cleric and Tijjaniyya leader who passed away on November 27.
The President will then head to Lagos, where he will spend the end-of-year holidays. During his stay, he is scheduled to attend the Eyo Festival on December 27 at Tafawa Balewa Square as the guest of honour.
The cultural event will celebrate notable figures, including Tinubu’s mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former Lagos State governors, Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
